The latest Winning at the Track package includes the Windows Version, an updated DOS-based edition and the DATABASE. Why continue to sell the DOS version? Because it is still very popular and offers unique advantages. Also, the WATTwin and WATTdos programs can be used simultaneously if so desired. Both WATT programs are presented in the same general layout, use the same WATT Race File, and both versions work with the latest Windows operating systems -- Win95, Win98, 2000, XP,and now VISTA.
There are, of course, many differences between the original DOS-based edition and the new Windows version with its added features. But there are also similarities, and some might prefer the new graphics presentations. Below is our earlier 1999 Kentucky Derby example with Charismatic and Menifee displayed by each version:
Among the new features in the Windows Version is a Best and Second-best Pole Speed screen capable of extracting sprint races. This feature is very useful when estimating the pace of an upcoming route race. Also, the pacesetters are now featured on the P/M Table; not just the pace and graphics sections. And the new display of the Key Horse Statistics should prove to be very popular, too. Finally, users who own printers capable of printing only Windows-based software will be especially pleased.
