The Pace Analyst
The PACE ANALYST is an important section in the Winning at the Track program. This feature displays and ranks the best, second-best, and third-best races each horse has run in its past. With it, users can see each horse's "depth of talent." There are times when one horse's SECOND BEST race is better than another's BEST race. Below is the first of two screens displayed by the PACE ANALYST section which uses the same WATT race file created for the basic program. Do you remember this monster Kentucky Derby?
The best, second-best, and third-best Pole Speeds are ranked in the left tables. The best, second-best, and third-best Late Speed figures are ranked on the right. Note that Menifee, who happened to be our "key horse" in this contest, had two races (651 each) with Late Speed numbers that were better than the BEST races of most of the other contenders.Charismatic's winning ticket paid $62.60. The Charismatic and Menifee exacta paid $727, and the trifecta with Cat Thief paid $5,866. The winner's time was 2:03.1, exactly as the program estimated.
The Pole Speed (the pace of the race) was 1:37.3, slower than the computer's estimate of 1:36 and slower than our estimate of 1:36.2. The horses with closing abilities performed as expected. On the screen, if you hit "Go To" the program takes you to the Winning at the Track Race Card or either of the other two modules -- the Graphics or the Exotics Wagering sections.
"Winning at the Track is, by far, the best contender-selection program available! And, I've used 'em all." N.S., Connecticut |
"I have been handicapping for many years and was one in the original
group that studied with Dr. Sartin, so I know a lot about handicapping and computer use.
I have been using your Winning at the
Track program for several years now because I have found
it to be the best that I have ever used ..."
